About WuAi Weather

WuAi Weather (吾爱天气) is a free weather lookup site run by one independent developer at www.5itq.com.

Who is behind it
I am an indie developer who builds small tool sites with AI-assisted coding, and this site is where I put that work into practice and share what I learn about shipping to a global audience. I write the code and pay for the server and domain myself; it is not a weather bureau and not a company team.
What the site does
It turns public meteorological data into pages that are easy to read: current conditions, a 48-hour temperature trend, 5 to 15-day forecast, air quality, living indices and monthly history, for Chinese provinces, cities and districts plus major overseas cities. Free, no account needed.
Who it is for
People checking the weather before they leave, drivers and logistics staff, farms and construction sites, travellers and families planning a trip, and anyone who needs last month weather records for a report.
Limits of the data
We display, we do not forecast. Severe and rapidly changing weather carries real uncertainty, so for safety decisions always follow the warnings issued by your local meteorological authority.
Costs and advertising
Hosting and the domain are paid out of my own pocket, so the pages carry ads to keep the site running. Advertising never changes the weather data shown to you.
Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our forecast data and about using this website.

Where does the forecast data come from?
Live conditions, hourly and daily forecasts, air quality and living indices are read from the public weather API of the China Meteorological Administration. WuAi Weather formats and displays that data; we do not run weather models.
How often is it updated?
Current and hourly data is normally refreshed about every 15 minutes, and the daily forecast once a day. If a number looks frozen, reload the page.
Why does some district say "live data unavailable"?
Usually one of three things: the upstream call timed out, the district was renamed or merged, or the province/city combination does not match the API exactly. Try the parent city, or search again with a different spelling and tell us by email.
How accurate is the 15-day forecast?
Short range is accurate, long range is a tendency. Use days 7 to 15 for the shape of the week rather than an exact figure and confirm close to your travel date.
Can I look up cities outside China?
Yes. There are pages for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and for major cities in Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania.
Can I pull your data into my app?
No. This site is a display layer over a public API, so we do not offer a data feed or scraping licence. For commercial weather data go to the meteorological service or a licensed provider.
Is the site free? Do I need an account?
Everything is free, with no registration and no marketing email. Advertising through Google AdSense pays for the server and the domain.
What personal data do you collect?
We do not ask for your name, phone or email. Your search term is used to build the page you requested, and Google sets cookies for ads on its own terms, as described in the privacy policy.
Are sunrise and sunset in local time?
Yes, they are shown in the local time zone of that city, with no conversion to Beijing time.
How do I report a wrong reading?
Email the address in the footer with the city, the period that looks wrong and the page URL. We compare it against the official bulletin and correct the display; warnings and emergencies always follow the official service.
