About this data

History pages list the daily readings WuAi Weather archives from public meteorological feeds. They record what was measured in the past, they are not a forecast, and they are provided for reference only.

How to read this forecast

A short guide to Red Deer: what these numbers mean and how to plan around them.

Why one day shows two conditions
Forecasts split the day into daytime and night. The daily table gives both, with separate wind, so you know what to expect on the way out and on the way home.
What "to" means between two conditions
In "light rain to moderate rain" the word "to" describes a change during the day, not two things happening at once. Pack for the stronger half.
When the high and low actually happen
The daily maximum usually falls between 14:00 and 16:00, and the minimum around sunrise. Mornings feel colder than the headline number, so dress for the low.
Far forecasts are a trend, not a promise
Days 1 to 3 are reliable. Days 7 to 15 shift as systems are re-run, so treat them as a direction and re-check three days before anything important.
Reading wind force
Force is the Beaufort-style scale used by the source service. Up to 4 it barely matters; 5 to 6 makes an umbrella awkward and cycling unstable; 7 and above is when outdoor work, scaffolding and small boats should stop.
AQI is not PM2.5
AQI blends several pollutants, PM2.5 is one measurement. 0 to 50 is excellent, 51 to 100 good, and above 150 sensitive groups should cut hard outdoor exercise; above 200 consider a mask and keep windows shut.
The precipitation figure
The current reading is accumulated rainfall in millimetres over the recent period. Around 10 mm means moderate to heavy rain and puddles, so leave extra time.
Using historical weather
From the city page open History and choose a month to see day-by-day recorded conditions. Historical archives and live forecasts are produced on different pipelines, so small differences are normal.
Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Red Deer forecast data and about using this website.

Where does the forecast data come from?
Live conditions, hourly and daily forecasts, air quality and living indices are read from the public weather API of the China Meteorological Administration. WuAi Weather formats and displays that data; we do not run weather models.
How often is it updated?
Current and hourly data is normally refreshed about every 15 minutes, and the daily forecast once a day. If a number looks frozen, reload the page.
Why does some district say "live data unavailable"?
Usually one of three things: the upstream call timed out, the district was renamed or merged, or the province/city combination does not match the API exactly. Try the parent city, or search again with a different spelling and tell us by email.
How accurate is the 15-day forecast?
Short range is accurate, long range is a tendency. Use days 7 to 15 for the shape of the week rather than an exact figure and confirm close to your travel date.
Can I look up cities outside China?
Yes. There are pages for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and for major cities in Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania.
Can I pull your data into my app?
No. This site is a display layer over a public API, so we do not offer a data feed or scraping licence. For commercial weather data go to the meteorological service or a licensed provider.
Is the site free? Do I need an account?
Everything is free, with no registration and no marketing email. Advertising through Google AdSense pays for the server and the domain.
What personal data do you collect?
We do not ask for your name, phone or email. Your search term is used to build the page you requested, and Google sets cookies for ads on its own terms, as described in the privacy policy.
Are sunrise and sunset in local time?
Yes, they are shown in the local time zone of that city, with no conversion to Beijing time.
How do I report a wrong reading?
Email the address in the footer with the city, the period that looks wrong and the page URL. We compare it against the official bulletin and correct the display; warnings and emergencies always follow the official service.
